plants

A climbing plant species situated no more than 20 feet from the rocky expanse of Golgotha is identified as the Marah plant. This particular flora is recognized for its hallucinogenic properties. Could this plant be the elusive forbidden fruit?

“And Jehovah God commanded the man, saying: Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Genesis 2.16-17 JPS

Of note as well, a pair of sizeable beehives are situated within the crevices of the boulders, potentially stretching for 77 feet from the southern end of Golgotha all the way to the north. The bees exhibit heightened aggressiveness, which accounts for the lower quality of the photograph.
